With only 2 days and 22hours (according to the online countdown timer) to go until the launch of Alexander Wang’s collection for H&M, fashion lovers across the UK are getting into a frenzy: the Telegraph online has even posted an article about how best to prepare for this exciting shopping event. The article notes that womeswear shoppers will need to arrive before the 9am launch time to queue and receive a wrist band, before being allocated a mere 10 minute time slot in the store. Menswear shoppers won’t be subjected to the same restrictions, with demand expected to be much lower.

As well as wide a range of sportswear inspired pieces in mesh, neoprene and quick-dry fabric, the monochrome collection features sports accessories such as a yoga mat, boxing gloves and goggles. Stand out pieces for womenswear include the Scuba figure-fit dress with logo at the waist (£49.99) and suede boots with scuba and rubber detail (£149.99). The collection latches onto the growing fashion-fitness trend, echoed by Beyoncé’s recently announced collaboration with Topshop.

The collection will appear online and in selected stores only: for Londoners these are 174-176 Oxford Street East, 234 Regent Street, H&M Selfridges, Oxford Circus, Westfield Shopping Centre and Westfield Stratford City. Purchases will be limited to one of each item with prices ranging from £7.99 and £199.99.
