Alexander White may not yet be a house hold name like Christian Louboutin or Jimmy Choo, but his shoes however are certainly just as beautifully crafted. An alumnus from the prestigious Cordwainers College, White was mentored by designer Holly Fulton and also worked with the likes of Erdem and Kurt Geiger before setting up his eponymous label this year. White has always had an infatuation with shoes and a belief that a beautiful pair changes the way a woman presents herself to the world.
Often influenced by his surroundings, everything from architecture to antique jewellery is apparent in his stunning designs – handcrafted in Italy, using the same manufacturers as Chanel and Jimmy Choo.
For SS15 the London based designer was inspired by the idea of a girl, who escapes on a holiday to mend her broken heart. The bright colour palette and shapes are inspired by the girl’s surroundings: the flowers, sand and turquoise waters. These shoes are not for shrinking violets, they’re statement shoes that need to be worn with confidence: as Marilyn Monroe once said “Give a girls the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world.” The collection comprises of strappy sandals, flats, peep toe booties and pointed courts all made in delicate silk, soft suede and speechios. They come in stunning bright colours of turquoise, orange and fuchsia; any woman wearing these is sure to conquer the world one beautifully heeled step at a time.
