Fans of TopShop’s previous collaborations take note; there’s a new Queen B in town.

TopShop, who have over the years provided us with some of the best celebrity collaborations including Kate Moss, Christopher Kane and Marques’ Almeida to name a few, revealed earlier this week that their latest venture involves the Queen of Pop Beyoncé and a collection of fashion inspired sportswear.

Beyoncé, who founded her own company Parkwood Entertainment in 2008, will embark on a 50/50 venture with business magnate Sir Philip Green entitled Parkwood TopShop Athletic Ltd.

The news of this collaboration comes as no surprise as the fashion industry has become very conscious of the fitness industry in recent years. Sir Philip Green commented that: “We have been looking at this category as fashion inspired fitness develops, and know that this is right in our customers’ heartland.”

Beyoncé commented: “I could not think of a better partner as I continue to grow the Parkwood business,” adding that: “I have always loved TopShop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking…. I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.”

According to TopShop the collection will ensure “a dynamic fusion of fashion with the highest levels of technical performance” and will include clothing, footwear and accessories. The collection is set to launch next autumn and will be available to buy in TopShop stores and online.
