Earlier this week British Designer Nicole Farhi revealed that their Creative Director, Jo Sykes, would be leaving the brand.
Sykes, who left her job as design director of Aquascutum to join Nicole Farhi in June 2012, revealed that the reason for her departure from the label was to focus on other projects.
Commenting on the news Sykes said, “I have always had great respect for Nicole Farhi. It’s been an honour to design for the label and continue her legacy of casual luxury. I wish the brand and the talented in house teams every success in the future.”
A spokesperson for the brand said, “Jo Sykes is leaving the business to focus on new projects, with our best wishes and thanks, having worked with dedication to develop the Nicole Farhi brand.”
The brand are yet to appoint a new Creative Director to take Sykes’ place. However, Creative Executive for the brand, Martin Mason, has revealed that following her departure the company’s main focus will be to work on rebuilding the brand. According to the label, we can expect to see the first steps of this re-birth in the upcoming SS15 collection.
