Cows, giraffes, snakes, leopards and God knows what else… A whole safari of animal prints strut the catwalk at Burberry Prorsum this season bringing a fresh kick to classic cuts. Opaque rubberised coats, sleeves and skirts, metal belts, and punched leather give a hint of fettish that’s enough to innovate the traditional look without sacrificing its heritage feel.

Christopher Bailey cites Christine Keeler as his muse for the collection; a showgirl involved in a scandal with English Politicians and Russian spies in the early 60’s… In other words the embodiment of retro-kinky. Collection highlights include a cashmere coat embellished with metal leopard spots, that sumptuous red, adorable heart prints and of course (possibly my favourite piece of the season so far) the trench with the opaque panels. Hot.
