It can’t be LC:M without some sportswear splashed into the mix. Effortlessly draped over mic-stands, C.P. Company’s range of utility sports jackets takes centre stage.

The brands iconic ‘Goggle Jacket’ took the form of Nycra Stretch, Oil Skin, Micro Key and a soft shell fabric in a variety of bright colours for the AW15 presentation.  Like many of this year’s LC:M collections, a military theme was clear. The most wearable piece from the range is the super-lightweight black puffa jacket detailed with chunky black knit (a fresh take on the typical sportswear uniform that we see every year).

A less obvious take on the sportswear tone was the Shetland wool black jacket with an electric blue detachable thermal liner.  Following this attitude was a tweed-like puffa jacket, created using a photographic micro-jacquard print combined with Shetland tweed. An innovative step forward in the world of sports outerwear.

Unlike most AW15 presentations, C.P. Company arranged their collection in a way that was inviting to the public, encouraging us to touch the different fabrics used. The ultra-lightweight puffa was so light, you forgot you were holding it. When sportswear is such a common trend in the menswear world, a brand needs to come up with something innovative, and C.P. Company might have succeeded in this through their use of interesting fabrics and techniques.
