CHESTER BARRIE. AW14.

At the sophisticated ‘The Club at The Ivy’ the likes of David Gandy, Dylan Jones and Louis Smith enjoyed old fashioned cocktails, whilst admiring Chester Barrie’s latest collection, in an ‘Oceans Eleven’ inspired setting.

The Rat Pack theme continued into the clothing, which consisted of sharp evening wear in luxurious fabrics such as cashmere, silk and velvet. Meanwhile, the collection’s palette displayed wintery tones of camel, slate and rich navy with accents of teal and berry.

With a reputation for creating beautiful formalwear, this season the Saville Row resident also turned towards more relaxed pieces inspired by military and country wear. The innovative trouser range, including the five pocket jean created in tailoring cloths, and flat fronted trousers featuring a subtle jetted half-frog mouth pocket, is expected to become the collection’s staple element. Key pieces also included pea coats in pure merino wool and water-resistant quilted body warmers. The collection was finished with footwear from Oliver Sweeney, Hudson and Louise Leeman Paris.
