The Crombie collection for AW14 is as expected… a perfect example of excellent British tailoring: Traditional single and double-breasted cuts in luxurious fabrics, elegantly styled with a James Bond-like air. As ever, Crombie’s heritage is central, with references to the brand’s history in designing military uniforms for the First and Second World Wars. The colour palette also reflects this with moss green, blackberry, chocolate and granite.

Key pieces for the collection include pea coats and car coats. Key fabrics? Twill, wool, cashmere, silk and leather, of course. Handmade five-fold silk ties, bridle leather bags and umbrellas by Brigg continue the ‘made in Britain’ theme, finishing the looks in the only way Crombie knows how: With quality and finesse.
