We all know that the British summer can be a little unpredictable, but the designers at Daks certainly don’t seem to be holding out much hope for a sunny SS14. The collection as a whole has a surprisingly autumny feel to it, with a lot of long sleeves, maxi dresses, capes and even some chunky knits. Even the colour palette (or should I say lack of colour palette) is predominantly black and tartan with the odd nude shade thrown in.
All that said, the collection is by no means unattractive. Classic silhouettes create a look that is sophisticated and very much for the lady, as well as being extremely wearable. Best look from the collection? It has to be the collarless tartan trench coat.
