The Duchamp presentation was a swanky affair, there’s no doubt about it. Held at the prestigious Rosewood Hotel, lucky guests enjoyed delicious petit fours and glasses of fizz a-plenty. Meanwhile, the Duchamp gents lounged comfortably in their surroundings, mingling amongst themselves as well as with those who took a moment to admire the collection.
In this setting they looked perfectly at home, dressed impeccably regardless of the varying levels of formality they each represented. Top-end we saw a silk dinner jacket in a luxurious royal blue, paired with a bow tie to complete the evening look. Slick office wear also featured; the Italian light-weight wool and immaculate tailoring creating the perfect balance between comfort and style.
The most interesting, however, were the most casual looks. The brand’s newly appointed Creative Director, Gianni Colarossi, took the concept of the ‘Contemporary Riviera’ and converted it into double breasted jackets in slick twill and panama cottons, combined with slim linen trousers in pastel shades and kaleidoscopic paisley scarves. The resulting look was fresh, summery and relaxed but without compromising the English gent within.
