In the middle of Carnaby, the London College of Fashion’s 4th annual pop-up retail store held its press preview this 11th December. The modern space is displaying pieces from emerging student and alumni designers, tailors and illustrators. It is the perfect chance to discover new names and brands before their collections break your bank in the near future.
The LCF College Shop offers a great opportunity for rising talents to get their foot in the fashion industry door. One of the standout collections was the footwear range by budding designer, Camilla Elphick, who used a theme of ‘luck’ (black cats, four-leaf clover, number 7) throughout her pieces. A pair of heels with a strap in the shape of a ‘7’ decorated with cherry red beads caught the eye of almost every shopper.
Hot on the trails of winter trends, a Naomi Oman piece included scarlet shades of faux fur paired with leather to create a new version of the cocktail dress. Up and coming womenswear designer, Min Wu had a ethereal collection filled with turquoise ombre skirts and dresses. Other key pieces in the pop-up store were a Miriam Griffiths Knitwear grey and lime green crop jumper, and Mettler London’s cream top and copper pleated skirt in a silky latex material.
The LCF College Shop will only be open until the 16th December, so snap up the pieces you love before it closes.
