One of The best things about press days has to be the stunning showrooms. Often filled with flowers, wonderfully laid out food and drink and, most importantly, clothes and accessorises displayed for the pleasure of a closer inspection.
Linda Farrow’s showroom was the perfect oasis away from the rain that had suddenly come tumbling down as I left the station, yes autumn is very much upon us. That’s on the outside however, on the inside it was all about the sunglasses, the most perfect and most necessary accessory for any Spring Summer wardrobe.
Linda Farrow is more than just your typical eyewear brand, it’s a brand that’s cutting edge and unique with collaborations from some of the best designers around: from the late Oscar de la Renta, Matthew Williamson and Erdem to name but a few. Each collaborator takes very classic frame shapes like aviators, 50’s style cat eyes and the 90’s circle style and interprets them into something spectacular. In particular, designers Jeremy Scott and KTZ; whose sunglasses appear to look more like headpieces and works of art.
My personal favourites include the Rose gold cat eye sunglasses from Linda Farrow and the metal laser cut edging on the Oscar de La Renta aviators.
