At the Lush Christmas 2014 preview my senses were awash with festive sights and smells. As ever, Lush’s product range was vast and varied, featuring plenty of brand new products as well as some favourites from previous years.

Bath bombs and bath melts impressed by taking into consideration, not only the nose-appeal but rather the bathing experience as a whole; popping candy to recreate the comforting sound of a crackling fire, shea butter to moisturise the skin, glitter to add sparkle… Not to mention the undeniable cute factor of their form (the Christmas Hedgehog is just insane.)

The brand’s younger audience is well catered for this coming Christmas with pink glitter and the candy-sweet Snow Fairy scent generously applied across the ranges. That said, the new Snowman Kit fun bar is fantastic at any age. At the same time, a rather sophisticated group of gift boxes decorated in a more classic style (inspired by Hans Christian Anderson) made up a display that could have easily been placed in Harrods.

For me, as a lover of toffee and marzipan notes (and an avid user of Lush’s Honey I Washed The Kids soap) the Yog Nog soap was an instant hit. Equally delicious was the appley freshness of the So White shower gel and bath bomb; one for the Christmas list methinks.
