São Paulo furniture designer brothers, Humberto and Fernando Campana collaborate with shoe brand Melissa to create the ‘Barroca’ collection. Showing in Covent Garden’s Galeria Melissa, the range is a mix between Roman Baroque style and the tropical flair of the designers native Brazil. Animated screens cover the walls of the Galeria in the form of entangled mesh, referencing the designers signature style.

Combining themes of construction and nature, elements were taken from iron and bronze Italian architecture and animals from the Brazilian fauna. Creating a fusion of organic tones and contemporary design, the collection features golden and silver shoes in a plastic-like material.  In Melissa’s London Flagship store, we peer into the world of the Campana brothers. On the lower floor, a fur sofa with gold plated details lay surrounded by gold and white wallpaper in the brother’s signature mesh design which inspired the shoe collection.

Having also collaborated with Jason Wu, Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier, Melissa’s latest collection is sure to be a show stopper among shoe lovers.
