Bright and colourful are the first two words that spring to mind when looking at the Mimi Fasi collection. A myriad of colourful printed silks burst onto the catwalk; oranges, pinks, florals, geometrics, checks, colour blocking… its absolutely captivating. The lightness and easy flow of the fabric, combined with the delicacy of some of the prints, creates quite a summery look but the heavier woven fabrics (none the less colourful) provide some reassurance that it is an autumn / winter collection.
There is a lovely variations of cuts, with a 1960s undertone in places, but the pencil skirt is a staple. Stand-out pieces have to be the multicoloured bomber jacket with sheer black sleeves and leather detailing and the mini buff-ball dress in hexagonal print. Delightful.
