After four weeks of catwalk shows and presentations in New York, London, Milan and Paris, the craziness that is fashion month is now finally over. Shows are always amazing to attend but they go by so quickly it’s hard to take everything in, so that’s where press days come in. They are a great way to re-see a selection of what was on the catwalk or see a collection for the first time around.
Sane Communications were up first on the press day circuit; the setting for their event was in their very sleek and stylish new showroom in Shoreditch. With around 50 clients including Menswear, Womenswear and accessories there was a lot to see. Their clients include Waven, Le Coq Sportif, Nixon, Ben Sherman and Kickers to name a few.
In a sea of clothes there were some standout brands such as Le Kilt by young Scottish Designer Samatha McCoach, who took inspiration from her family’s kilt making heritage (her Grandmother has been a traditional kilt maker for over 40 years). Also Bcollide; a womenswear label with a very strong tailoring aesthetic, perfect for business woman who wants to add something different to her work wardrobe.
AQ/AQ offered up some stunning pieces in the form of jumpsuits and gorgeous evening dresses worthy of any red carpet or black tie event. For menswear Wood Wood, a brand hailing from Copenhagen, displayed a collection of high fashion, sports and streetwear. Meanwhile Richard Anderson, a bespoke tailoring brand from the famous Saville Row, showcased a unique selection of smart suit jackets. Not wanting to wish life away, but hurry up Spring Summer 2016.
