Savile Row’s finest came together once again for the 5th instalment of ‘The English Gentleman’ at one of London’s most prestigious addresses: Aspley House. Savile Row bespoke tailors including Henry Poole & Co and H. Huntsman & Sons among others joined forces with the gentleman’s houses of Mayfair and St James’s to produce high quality menswear for this years edition of London Collections:Men.

Models were scattered throughout the historic venue wearing pieces from the best tailors London has to offer. A heavy sense of military and 19th century influences were constant throughout. Standout looks were the Chester Barrie single-breasted bottle green and navy tweed wool jacket worn with Abraham Moon & Sons wool khaki Cavalry Twill trousers, Anderson & Sheppard bespoke wool Cavalry Twill trousers and a H. Huntsman bespoke single-breasted two button hacking jacket with patch pockets and velvet collar.

The showcased Savile Row tailors have the evening wear arena covered. Resulting in a look that is quintessentially British, a Gives and Hawkes midnight blue wool cashmere tailcoat with black silk satin facings and a Henry Poole bespoke three-piece dress suit with corded silk facings and black velvet top collar were both central pieces at the presentation.

With the reputation for Savile Row tailoring at a high standard, the AW15 presentation at Aspley House proved these British Heritage brands are here to stay.
