Asymmetrical shapes and bias cuts have featured across a number of SS15 collections – specifically in hemlines and shoulder straps. They immediately draw the eye, creating a statement look that suggests attitude. By revealing one shoulder or leg more so than the other, the pieces also come across as playfully sexy.

Although this has been a recurring trend for a couple of seasons now, SS15 sees the likes of Hemcya, Jean-Pierre Braganza and Peter Pilotto add a nuance to the asymmetrical skirt by using panels in contrasting patterns to further accentuate the construction of the garment.
