Vivienne Westwood has been confirmed as a guest speaker at the Fracked Future Carnival, an anti-fracking protest that is set to take place in London on the 19th of March. This will not be the first time that the British designer has taken part in anti-fracking protests. Back in August she attended a protest alongside 1000 other activists, at an exploratory drilling site in Balcombe, West Sussex.

Those choosing to take part in the Fracked Future Carnival will meet outside Knightsbridge Tube Station, Sloane Street Exit at 12.30pm to voice their opinions about the controversial energy source and its extraction methods. The protest is in response to the Shale Gas Forum – a meeting between government officials and energy industry representatives that is taking place the same day.  Organiser Frack Off London encourages those attending to dress up as anything that represents toxicity.
