In London there is a never ending stream of talented young designers. Wilson PK is one of the many names that you should be making a note of for SS ’15. The 23 year old is a recent graduate from the prestigious Central Saint Martins where he spent his years honing his talent whilst working for the likes of Alexander Wang and Iris Van Herpen, and even receiving the Umbria cashmere district award in 2013.

The young designer believes in the communication between fashion and culture, with his work arguing and embracing his thoughts on society through the materials and silhouettes. His obsession with these modern silhouettes, and his inspirations of biological references and religious beliefs, are all apparent in his SS’15 collection, (I’M) Purity. The collection is described as a “Psychedelic rollercoaster joyride of self-alienation and religious guilt, based on the idea of exploring the link between DNA and sexual identities.” It is comprised of six stunning outfits all of which are wonderfully crafted with strong architectural shapes and a colour palette of whites, mint green, vibrant reds, shimmery gold and bold orange.

Wilson’s graduate collection has already generated a buzz amongst the UK and international press and buyers after non-other than musician Lady Gaga stepped out in one of the outfits during her tour in South Korea and gave praise to the young designer on social media sites: now that is certainly not a bad way to introduce yourself to the industry.
