SS15 for the YMC man is casual and minimal with a little bit of the 60s surfer thrown in for good measure. A relaxed silhouette that lends itself to jaunts through European city centres, it’s designed for the man that likes style to mingle with comfort, for what better way is there to tackle the heat of Rome or the humidity of Barcelona?

Light, sport inspired fabrics slouched and rolled off the shoulders, gently moulding to the body without definition. Colours were muted and tonal – pebble, algae, sand and salmon – with just a burst of lobster in an asymmetrical shirt and an anorak inspired short suit. For the detail, look to the much used over-sized pocket featured on outerwear or the subtle graphic prints that add a twist to an understated, short and t-shirt-esque look. And for those ever present summer showers, we’re loving the banana split hat with built-in blue tinted googles – sported by all models for the final walk down the steps of the British Library.

Although not breaking new ground, Fraser Moss stuck to what he knows best this season, re-working classic looks for the modern gentleman whilst ensuring individuality and cut prevail. All of which fits very nicely into the brand’s ethos: ‘You must create your own style.’ Well said.
